I am the type of psychotherapist who shows up authentically as myself. My hope is to create and sustain a safe space where others feel comfortable and welcome to do the same. I value the therapeutic relationship as the heart of therapy - above all, I want my clients to feel safe, held, and deeply understood in session with me. I take this goal seriously and am always open to feedback, reflection, and constructive dialogue so that therapy feels collaborative, alive, and supportive of your growth.

Working as a psychotherapist and developing therapeutic relationships is an incredibly important experience for me. Having pursued therapy myself, I know firsthand how vulnerable and important it can feel to find the right connection with your therapist. Because of this, I regularly check in with clients to reflect on our process together - whether it’s our very first session or one of many - ensuring the relationship stays strong, attuned, and responsive to your needs.

In session, I take a humanistic, client-centered approach. I believe that you are the expert of your own life, and I walk alongside you and go as you flow. My style is warm, present, and grounded, often weaving in mindfulness, meditation, and other present-focused strategies to help clients reconnect to themselves in real time. I draw flexibly from a variety of evidence-based and experiential modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, parts work, narrative therapy, existential and humanistic therapies, and mindfulness-based approaches. I also integrate somatic and
nervous-system regulation techniques, recognizing the powerful connection between mind and body. Every treatment plan is uniquely tailored to each client’s needs, values, and goals, with space for creativity and authenticity in the process.

Outside of session, I feel most alive when I am connecting with others and with nature - whether that’s hiking, camping, sitting by the water, or connecting with friends and family. For the past two summers, I worked as the Mental Health Professional at an Ontario lakeside overnight camp for youth, a role that combined my love for the outdoors with my dedication to supporting mental health and well-being. I also love reading (often psychology- and spirituality-related books), journaling, and engaging in practices that help me explore the human experience in both professional and personal ways. I believe that to be an effective psychotherapist, I must also be
committed to doing the work myself, and I prioritize this wholeheartedly.

Maddy is a Registered Psychotherapist in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She completed her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.H.) in Psychology at Queen’s University and her Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Psychotherapy at

She is currently expanding her skills through training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and somatic/nervous-system-based approaches. Maddy’s personal therapeutic experiences, combined with her diverse training and professional background, allow her to bring a grounded, compassionate, and holistic perspective to therapy. She is passionate about supporting clients as they reconnect with themselves, navigate life’s challenges, and step more fully into the lives they want to live.

"My favourite part of being a therapist is truly seeing my clients and witnessing them feel seen. I am grateful to hold a safe space where they can show up vulnerably, especially when they need it most."
