We believe nervous system regulation is key to effective therapy because it helps us understand how our bodies respond to stress and emotions. When life feels overwhelming—like during periods of anxiety or trauma—our nervous system can get out of balance. This may leave you feeling anxious, disconnected, or even physically unwell.

 

By focusing on nervous system regulation in therapy, we can help you recognize and manage these responses. This creates a sense of safety and calm, allowing you to engage more deeply in the therapeutic process. Emily Grunthal B.A.Sc., M.Psy., is the founder of Noia Wellness and a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). She primarily works with people in their 20s, 30s, and 40s, who are working through anxiety, life transitions, trauma, and nervous system burnout.
