"As a therapist, I’m here to create the kind of space I wish more of us had growing up—one that’s affirming, safe, and empowering for every part of ourselves"

During my undergrad, I met with a psychotherapist for the first time, and that experience changed my life. I had struggled with anxiety and depression for a long time and pursuing therapy finally gave me the outlet to navigate those struggles in a way that worked for me. I have been on the client’s side of the therapeutic relationship for many years, and the support and confidence I gained made me want to become a psychotherapist myself.

My greatest goal is to create a space where clients can feel heard, empowered and valued. I know how powerful a strong therapeutic relationship and tailored care can be. As a queer person, I also know how daunting it can feel to pursue the vulnerable and deeply personal journey of therapy, especially in today’s tense global environment. I prioritize client safety and autonomy at all times
and work to create a space where all clients feel affirmed and respected.

My approach to therapy is one that centers the client: their goals, needs and expertise of their own story. We are so much more than symptoms or unhelpful thought patterns, and I want to help clients find the most authentic and grounded version of themselves! I utilize a diverse set of tools and skills from narrative therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). These tools are not ‘one size fits all’, and I work with clients to create the best approach for them.

Whether it’s anxiety, academic stress, self-esteem challenges, identity issues, or big life changes, I am dedicated to helping clients create meaningful change. Pursuing therapy is a huge step in making that change, and I am so excited to take that step with you!
Outside of the therapy space, I am an avid hiker and love all things outdoors. I played competitive soccer for over ten years and still love to play, and recently fell in love with yoga! I’m a dog lover, fantasy and sci fi reader, and amateur history buff.
