Sometimes, it’s not just what you’re going through—it’s how alone, overwhelmed, or unsure you might feel within it. You may be carrying anxiety, low mood, or stress, while quietly wondering why things feel so hard or whether it’s possible for them to feel different. Starting therapy can bring up uncertainty, especially if you’re used to holding things together on your own.
I show up as myself in the room—warm, present, and genuinely invested in getting to know you. I aim to create a space that feels steady, supportive, and gently nurturing, where you don’t have to have the right words or any of it figured out. We move at your pace, with care and curiosity, integrating evidence-based approaches like CBT, ACT, DBT-informed strategies, and behavioural activation in a way that feels collaborative and tailored to you. There’s space here not just for problem-solving, but for understanding, processing, and reconnecting with yourself.
Over time, my hope is that you feel more understood, more at ease within yourself, and more confident in navigating life’s challenges. Together, we work toward building insight, self-trust, and practical tools so you can move forward in a way that feels meaningful, steady, and aligned with who you are.
Sarah is a Registered Psychotherapist with a Master of Science in Psychotherapy from McMaster University. Over the past several years, she has had the privilege of supporting adolescents and adults in both private practice and post-secondary mental health settings. She works with individuals navigating anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship challenges, and life transitions, and understands how heavy and complex these experiences can feel. Sarah approaches this work with warmth and gentle curiosity, taking time to truly get to know you—not just what’s bringing you to therapy, but who you are as a whole person. Her style is warm, collaborative, and gently paced. While she draws from evidence-based approaches, her priority is creating a space that feels safe, supportive, and easy to settle into. There is no expectation to have the “right” words or to have things figured out—just space to show up as you are. Together, you begin to make sense of what’s been going on and explor ways forward that feel steady and manageable. Sarah has experience supporting clients through particularly vulnerable and tender moments, including times of crisis. She brings a calm, grounding presence and aims to help you feel held, supported, and not alone in what you’re going through. When helpful, she works alongside other care providers to ensure you feel fully supported in your care. Throughout the process, Sarah checks in with you in a gentle and collaborative way, making space for your feedback and ensuring that therapy feels helpful and aligned with what you’re needing. Her approach is client-centred, trauma-informed, and grounded in an anti-oppressive lens, with a deep respect for how your identity, relationships, and lived experiences shape your mental health and healing.
